Monochrome Monday #80
on Jul 04, 2016Your most important gear is your eye, heart and soul. - Marius Vieth
I love leopards and I think it shows in my photography. There’s just something about them that draws me in and I simply cannot get enough of them. This being said, I still literally have hundreds of images of them which I consider “keepers”, but every situation and sighting of the many resident leopards we have is different. I sit with my guests enjoying the view before us, interpreting the animal’s behaviour and always looking for something interesting to photograph. There are always one or two moments in a sighting that will stand out to me and this is what I look for in terms of the photography aspect. My aim is to capture the essence of those sightings so that when I look upon them months or even years later, I’m taken back to that exact moment in time. This is something that I’ve found most rewarding about my photography. I hope you enjoy this week’s selection of leopards in monochrome.
