Rael Loon was seven years old when Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve opened its doors for the first time to guests from around the world. The Sabi Sabi Story (Volume 1) - written by Rael Loon - was published in 2013, as a tribute to the legacy that is Sabi Sabi today, started by his parents Hilton and Jacqui Loon four decades ago. The Sabi Sabi Story Volume Two will be released early 2020 and is an update of this tribute and a personal collection of some of the inspiring impressions Rael had growing up with the broader Sabi Sabi family and its animal inhabitants. The exceptional collection of superb photography, all taken while on safari at Sabi Sabi by some of the leading wildlife photographers in South Africa and Sabi Sabi Rangers, is evocative, beautiful and informative.

It is now forty years since Sabi Sabi's inception and there have been dramatic changes to the lodges - they have transformed from an initial cluster of rustic huts to 5-star, all-suite masterpieces, all acknowledged by National Geographic as Unique Lodges of the World.
