Sabi Sabi Links Golf And Game

on Dec 20, 2014

News update: 8th September

When Sabi Sabi announced an exclusive deal entitling our guests to play golf at the renowned Leopard Creek course, avid players pricked up their ears. The opportunity of combining a safari holiday at our award winning 5 star lodges, with a round of golf at South Africa's top ranked golf course is just too good to ignore - and enthusiasts are taking full advantage.

Playing through Leopard Creek's stunning course is akin to an 18 - hole mini safari. Surrounding the manicured greens is indigenous bushveld, rich in animals and filled with birdlife. Here eagles and birdies take on a whole new meaning. And it isn't an uncommon hazard for a giraffe or two to meander along the fairways. Certainly nobody complains about waiting for the obstacle to pass.

The championship course, designed by Gary Player, is beautifully laid out and has wonderful views, but at the end of the game Sabi Sabi's guests are generally eager to return to their lodge in time for sundowners and dinner. According to marketing director Jacques Smit, it is possible for guests to enjoy their dawn safari, leave for a late morning tee-off at Leopard Creek, and return in time for a muscle relaxing massage at the lodge spa before sitting down to a sumptuous evening meal.

There are two transfer options between Sabi Sabi and Leopard Creek. One can opt for a leisurely, scenic drive through the Kruger National Park, or, alternatively, climb aboard a helicopter for a quick direct flip from our airstrip to the golf course.

Phenomenal game viewing, great golf - what a link.
