Droplets

Kyle 29 Dec Elephant Fun

We got to a watering hole on a hot day as some elephants were having a drink. The watering hole had an area which was sloped downwards and we took our position on the downhill as this elephant had just blown all the water into its mouth and dropped its trunk for the next trunk load and while it was doing this, the drops from the mouth where falling down, creating the droplets along the length of the trunk.

Editing used on this image

I didn't have too much time to change the settings on my camera as I was not intending on taking this picture before it happened, so my camera settings were not the best of what they could have been. I cropped the elephant’s leg out of the frame as it now highlights just the trunk. I also lifted the highlights quite a bit which brings out the droplets against the dark colouration of the elephant’s trunk.
