Monochrome Monday #35
on Aug 17, 2015Photography is an itch that won’t go away. No matter how much you scratch it. – Dara McGrath
I cannot agree more with this quote and since I started photographing wildlife about four years ago, I still have the itch to photograph wildlife on a daily basis. I am constantly looking to try new things and change it up now and then, but most of the times I just allow the wildlife do the talking.
An elephant bull and some “Dagga Boys” enjoying their time in front of Bush Lodge.
“Catch of the Day”
The dark-maned Sand River male lion rests in an open area, with the other two males nowhere to be seen.
A misty day creates a beautiful backdrop for this alert zebra.
Warthog Wallow stares down a herd of impala in the distance.
A hyena cub curiously approaches the vehicle to investigate the occupants.
This has to be one of the most impressive sets of horns I have seen on a buffalo.
A black and white conversion of this Blue wildebeest marking his territory adds to this dramatic scene.
A clean background and a high aperture (low f-stop number) make for a great portrait of this male cheetah.
An elephant calf tries to keep up with the rest of the herd as they head towards a waterhole.
