Three too many

This was one of my very first images taken of the Southern Pride some 3 years ago. Sometimes mother nature just gives you some luck and these 3 female lionesses all lined up one after the other whilst watching over some zebra.

Equipment used

• Camera - Canon 600D
• Lens and focal length - Canon EF -S55-250mm f/4-5.6

Settings used to capture this image

• ISO 640 – This photo was taking during the late morning and there was a lot of cloud cover so I used a higher ISO to allow for more light.
• Aperture f5.6 – I wanted just the female in front in focus and the others blurred.
• Shutter Speed - 1/400 – I used a low shutter speed as they were standing still.

Editing used on this image

I lifted the exposure which lighted up the image and lifted the shadows as it was very cloudy.
