sabi sabi professional photography
Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve has always been known for its breathtaking wildlife encounters. Our quiet approach and the respect with which we conduct our safaris have ensured that guests get up close and exclusive with Africa's amazing animals, and are able to take stunning photographs. Ever since the first game drive took place at Sabi Sabi over three decades ago, photographers have clamoured for the opportunity of visiting our reserve, and many of their pictures have graced the pages of glorious coffee table books.

Capturing safari experiences on camera has always been an integral part of the Sabi Sabi experience, and the new digital age has made it easier for everyone to try their hand at taking the perfect picture. As equipment has evolved and more advanced cameras have become available to all levels of photographers, a new and rewarding way of securing those precious memories is to engage a professional photographer to assist you with every step.
The Sabi Sabi Photo Safari offers guests the unique experience of being guided, by a professional photographer, through the intricacies of getting the very best out of a camera and of how to take that perfect, once in a lifetime, wildlife picture.

These Professional Photographic Safaris are available on request and must be prebooked. Prior to your arrival the professional will be in touch with you to ascertain the level of your interest and expertise and also to get details of the equipment you have been using. He will then tailor your course, including providing cameras and lenses if necessary, and customising subjects such as camera set up, photography in the field, working with wildlife, light sources etc. At the end of the safari you and your instructor will review the images and you will discover the various methods and merits of post-processing. All of your selected photos will go home with you on a CD or flashdrive.

The Photographic Safari runs for one full day, beginning at lunchtime on the first day and ending before lunch the following day.
COST: R4500 per guest photographer per day, which includes the services of a professional photographer for up to a maximum of six guests* on a photographic vehicle.
Camera equipment will be provided as follows or similar (depending on availability):
- Nikon D700/ D3 or D3S with Nikon 200 - 400mm f/4 lens
