Winter turned to summer and the rains began to fall again, bringing back the lost colours and also heralding a new era for the Southern Pride as one of the Kruger males was lost as well as a few of the cubs which left us wondering what would happen to this super pride. 2013 will be an interesting year for the lions and it will be interesting to see whether the pride manages to stay together or splits into 2 new groups. As summer moved in the insects began to emerge and now moving into December there is an abundance of insect life everywhere you look. This is also the time when all the migratory birds come back to join us to take advantage of the food abundance while having their young. What a year it has been and I look forward to the year ahead at Sabi Sabi.
