Martial Art

We had only been out for about five minutes one rather overcast morning when we came across this magnificent Martial Eagle perched high up in a dead tree. We were very lucky to get close to the bird as it was very relaxed. Capturing this image was challenging at first as the sky was extremely bright behind the Eagle, however, when one is able to beautifully capture these creatures after trial and error, it is always very rewarding.

Equipment used:

• Camera – Nikon D7200
• Lens – Sigma 150-600 contemporary lens

Settings used:

• ISO – 5000
• Aperture – f6,3
• Shutter – 1/320

Editing done:

I decreased the blacks and increased the contrast, highlights, shadows and clarity. I also drastically increased the film grain to up the intensity of the image.
