Big news this week as the Charleston males are back at Sabi Sabi and were seen on the northern section of our reserve. The last time we saw them, they were approximately 1km from the Southern Pride and yet to reunite as far as we know.

The two young Avoca males were seen early in the week, with the one male calling for his brother. We hope they steer clear of the Charleston males!

The Southern Pride have had some missed hunting opportunities this past week and are looking a bit skinny, but they remain in high spirits with the younger members up to their usual tricks and playfulness.

A pack of wild dogs has been on and off the property in search of a meal. Always a great sight to see them hunting and interacting with one another.

Terry and his guests were fortunate enough to see this Large-spotted Genet during one of their evening safari. The Genet paused just long enough to get some pictures of this normally elusive, nocturnal creature.

A beautiful capture of this Bateleur as it was not budging from its perch one cold cloudy morning. It was probably waiting for the sun to come out and create a few thermals for it to be able to glide skyward on.

We enjoyed a wonderful sighting of a herd of buffalo, and in particular, these two little buffalo calves frolicked and gambolled without a care for their surroundings, leaving their elders steely eyes scanning for any potential threat.

A very relaxed Southern Ground Hornbill gazed off into the long grass as it searched for food from its raised perch.

A rare and unusual sighting of a Kori Bustard as it makes its way through an open area in the northern side of our property.

A small herd of zebra made their way into an open area, an area of perceived safety.

Sheldon managed to capture this amazing little Grey-headed Kingfisher as it sat perched in perfect light on an open branch. It was quite a relief after over a month of trying to finally capture it.

Again, we have had some magnificent elephant sightings, from the adults right down to the little ones who are always a treat to watch!

White Dam and her cub were seen making their way possibly to a kill together in the northern part of the property. She was found calling out to locate her cub, suddenly we witness him emerge from a Tamboti thicket as the two headed on throughout the night.

We found the Msuthlu female walking past Bush Lodge on our way home, it was a fantastic surprise for our guests who were on their last safari.
