A Week in the Bush Vol. 139
on Jan 26, 2017Another week has come and gone, and once again, we share some of our favourite sightings with you in the latest edition of “A Week in the Bush”. Enjoy...
The impala lambs continue to delight guests with their gallivanting and cuteness.
We received some more welcome rain this week, and as you can see from the photos below, the bush is lovely and green and water sources are plentiful.
We have had a variety of leopard sightings, with the Mahlathini male making an appearance and looking in great condition!
Maxabeni was hard at work marking his territory after the rains. He was successful in taking down a warthog and managed to eat it from start to finish without too much disturbance.
The Southern Pride were resting in a riverbed, minding their own business, when they were disturbed by a herd of buffalo. They jumped at the opportunity and managed to secure a big meal for the pride in the form of a large cow and a young bull who came back in search of his fallen comrade!
We had a brief visit from the Sparta/Eyrefield pride in the north eastern section of our reserve.
We look forward to what the coming week brings... Until then...
