top 10 spot retained in world’s best
Sabi Sabi has again proved worthy of its world-class status by retaining a top ten spot in the latest Travel + Leisure World's Best Hotel Awards released this week. The private game reserve was voted 4th best hotel in Africa and the Middle East and 8th overall in the world by discerning readers of Travel + Leisure. It was also named 7th in the world in the Small Hotels category. Its service rating was one of the highest, underlining Sabi Sabi's commitment to providing an authentic African safari experience combined with utmost luxury and warm hospitality at its four 5-Star lodges.
Travel + Leisure cites Sabi Sabi's competitive edge as 'lodges to suit any mood'. This refers to the individual character of each of the four lodges, which reflect a ‘Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow’ philosophy ranging from Yesterday's colonial splendour at Selati Camp, through the contemporary warmth, vibrancy and authentic African artefacts at Bush Lodge and Little Bush Camp to the avant-garde organic architecture and eco-minimalism at Earth Lodge.
The magazine's subscribers were invited to participate in a detailed questionnaire with categories including service, accommodation, location, food, value and ambience.
All four lodges offer an unforgettable day and night open Land Rover safari experience. A magnificient and unspoiled part of the ancient African continent, the Sabi Sabi reserve has a great biodiversity of habitat and wildlife giving guests an excellent chance of close, on- and off-road encounters with the 'Big 5' - elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard - as well as wild dog, cheetah and hundreds of other species of animals, birds and plants.
