Thank you for an amazing 2016

on Dec 21, 2016

Nearing the end of 2016, we look back and are so grateful for so much.

Thank you to all who walked through our doors and allowed us the opportunity of welcoming you to our luxury home in the bush.

Thank you to our Trade Partners who have supported us and continue to work with us in creating life changing experiences for our guests who come from all over the globe.

Thank you to the amazing people of Sabi Sabi who every day consistently provide such amazing experiences and for always showing such pride in who we are and for being part of our family.

Since 1979 it has always been our vision to offer a home away from home in a pristine wilderness environment. A recipe we still follow today. We have an amazing team who are committed to sharing this vision with all our guests. A team committed to warm hospitality and a sense of caring. This is our home and we are proud to share this with the world.

Our Habitat Management team, along with our Safari Team, have been amazing in their unreserved conservation efforts. Efforts that have faced many challenges in what was one of our driest years in history. We witnessed how one powerful natural element can change an environment, but with sound conservation practice – we saw the positive dynamics it has produced. Game viewing has once again been phenomenal this year with our highly trained Rangers and Trackers being out in the field on a daily basis – interpreting the bush to guests and changing people’s lives while educating on the importance of conservation. An experience we gladly share with our followers on various Social Media platforms.

Safari remains our focus, but our hospitality and our luxury has seen us again this year be listed amongst the world’s best by esteemed publications worldwide. Dining experiences offered by a dedicated team of Chefs who work closely with renowned European Chefs, staying on top of global trends, yet always adding their African flavour and style. An award-winning wine list sharing some of South Africa’s hidden boutique wineries and the best that our country’s winemakers offer. This now includes our very own Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge Cellar wines. A first for wine in South Africa and definitely not our last. Luxury that continues to deliver an experience that remains with you for life. This luxury is offered across our four lodges still following the philosophy of Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow....a philosophy we have maintained with all our new upgrades in 2016.

Bush Lodge enjoyed a complete refurbishment and a true celebration of our owner’s Hilton & Jacqui Loon’s adventures and journeys throughout Africa showcasing some amazing art and décor from across the continent.

Little Bush Camp had a complete facelift and proudly steps into the transitional space between our Today and Tomorrow with elements of the traditional today yet the quirky touches of the contemporary tomorrow.

The Tomorrow was further enhanced with some added touches to our flagship Earth Lodge. All done with respect and clear knowledge of where we have come from and what has made us so successful over the years.

Therefore our yesterday is still very much a part of our future.
