amazing little bush camp
We have just arrived home to Sydney, Australia and feel very deflated after our wonderful holiday in South Africa and particularly the amazing Sabi Sabi Little Bush Camp. We have spent the past couple of days trying to organise our photos, a big job!
We would like to thank everyone for the fantastic service, food and experience we had at LBC.
In particular, our ranger Mike, is a one in a million! Never in my lifetime did I imagine being so close to animals I had read of in story books and seen only in David Attenborough documentaries. Mike was not only skilful in getting us the best viewing, along with the help of Eric our tracker, but also an incredible educator. It definitely deepened the experience to learn so much whilst looking at the animal, bird or plant, or stars! Mike has a limitless wealth of knowledge that he is able to communicate with clarity and humour. (He still needs to acquire a taste for Gin & Tonics though and "refine" his palate).
We also enjoyed the walking safaris, you never knew what might be around the corner!
The phrase "experience of a lifetime" does sound clichè, but it is the truth. I'm sure I'll be thinking of all the wonderful things I saw and experienced not only when I'm at my desk tomorrow but for the years to come.
Thank you for making a much looked forward to holiday, more than I even imagined!
