You would think that because he grew up in Soweto, the well-known urban jungle in the south of Johannesburg - a great distance from the bushveld, that Zwai wouldn't be a nature enthusiast. But from a very young age he showed a keen interest in nature and wasted no time in starting to pursue his passion.
Straight out of school he enrolled at Boston College where he completed his diploma in Tourism and Management. Immediately after that he did a guiding course with Antares Bush Academy.
Zwai's working career as a game ranger started in the Sabi Sands Reserve where he qualified as a FGASA (Field Guides Association of Southern Africa) Level 1 guide.
In 2010 Zwai joined the Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve. He really enjoys extending his knowledge of the bushveld, of wildlife and of nature in general.
Even if just listening to Zwai's beautiful explanation about something as mundane as the routine of changing of the seasons you will be captivated and enriched by his love of nature. To quote Zwai: "This is my life and my devotion."
