Alistair is adventurous by nature and loves travelling - hence his decision to travel to England directly out of school.
Back from England he undertook and completed a three year degree in Marketing at the University of Johannesburg.
His interest in nature and the outdoors grew with every visit to the Timbavati - he worked there as a freelance guide while doing his distance studying.
Taking no short cuts, Alistair applied to and worked as a game ranger at Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve before moving on to another lodge in the Sabi Sands Reserve.
Alistair has great respect for Sabi Sabi, it being one of the leaders in the industry. For this reason he rejoined the Sabi Sabi team in 2010.
He is a qualified full trails and Field Guides Association of Southern Africa (FGASA) level 2 guide.
Alistair has now been in the industry for over seven years and his love for predators and interacting with his guests continues to grow with each additional year he is in the bushveld.
