KMIA / SABI SAND WILDTUIN - NOISE ABATEMENT & FLIGHT TIME RESTRICTIONS

Certain noise abatement and/or operational restrictions may be applicable for the Sabi Sand Wildtuin in the near future. These will limit the times allowed for air transfers. If and when these restrictions become applicable, mandatory connection times for guest arrivals / departures at KMIA may become necessary.

Terms & Conditions Departure & Arrival times may vary up to 45 minutes. Early departures from lodge may be necessary to accommodate lodge hopping on limited seat flights. Luggage is restricted to 20kgs per person in soft bags. Rates subject to airfield suitability, availability, noise abatement, operational procedures and fuel increases. Flight reservations close 72 hours in advance. Late guest arrivals will be booked on next available flight (possibly following day). Cancellation fees may apply. Travel insurance is advisable.

The following refers to inbound and onward travel planning for your guests. It is advisable to use the following connecting times for all flights arriving and departing to/from OR Tambo International Airport. Federal Air is a point to point service and at no time guarantees any onward connection.

Wild about... Leopards
1. This most elusive big cat is found in areas across Africa and Asia.
2. A leopard's beautiful spots - called rosettes - are as unique as fingerprints.
3. Leopards have the highest strength : weight ratio of all big cats and can kill prey larger than itself and drag it high up into a tree.
4. Unless mating, leopards are generally solitary, nocturnal animals that move extensively around their large home territory.
5. Leopards are cunning hunters and will eat anything from antelope and warthogs to birds and fish. There are over 90 species of animals on their menu!
6. At Sabi Sabi ... Leopard sightings - rare in many areas - happen daily at Sabi Sabi, where the animals are habituated to safari vehicles and unthreatened by humans.
