monochrome monday #2
on Dec 29, 2014“A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed.” ― Ansel Adams
This statement couldn’t be truer, especially in terms of using monochrome as the medium in which to portray the scene. Last week Lance introduced us to the world of ‘black & white’, now it’s my turn to share with all of you my take on wildlife in monochrome. I hope you all enjoy...
An empire in the making...a Southern Masked Weaver displays at his abode to attract a mate.
Innocence of a future King... the weight of the continued existence of the Southern Pride rests firmly on his shoulders.
Form and Function... aesthetics to some, but life to others.
Maxabeni... even the name demands respect.
The intensity of possession... Nottins looks up at me briefly to covey the message.
Mahlathini... reading the signs written in the wind.
Between the lines... a pair of zebra search for the source of their apprehension.
Facade... a Styx Pride male looks forward, uncertain what the future may hold for him and his kin.
A fanciful display... this Black-bellied Bustard stands proudly while performing his advertisement calls for any females nearby.
Attention to detail... the sentry of a business of dwarf mongoose keeps a lookout for danger.
