Over the past week the two honeymooners have been seen mating on the property. It has been interesting to note how far west into Mahlathini’s territory the White Dam female has come, with them recently being seen not far from Little Bush Camp as the crow flies.

Therefore we are going to have to hope that if she is successful in conceiving, that she will be able to protect her cub from the likes of the Little Bush female as well as the Maxabeni male.

Little Bush Female

In turn with this interesting event taking place, Warthog Wallow female has been seen with her cubs. As far as we have been able to investigate without putting pressure on the female, we can establish that she has at least two young cubs with her. One of our guides has also had a sighting of some unidentified cubs around Bush Lodge. These cubs were reported to look a lot older than those of the Warthog Wallow females’. All in all the promise of a new young leopard in the future is looking very likely with all the above reports. We will be hoping to confirm this to all of you in the coming weeks.
