The week started off with a bang! We welcomed our first massive thunderstorm of the season, and subsequently a few more during the week. What a spectacular sight to see!

With these rains comes new life – in all forms, and what a blessing it is to witness this!

The rains have brought on the Termite alates and the Wahlberg's Eagles are often seen on the ground feasting on them.

Around almost every corner we are now seeing young ones with their mothers.

The Terrapins are out in force and can be found in almost every little puddle and water body if you look closely.

Zebra stand out so much against their green home with their dazzling striped coat.

We have had regular sightings of the Southern Pride, Charleston males and their cubs early on in the week before they headed far south, only to return on Wednesday morning.

Leopard sightings have been in abundance!

Maxabeni was seen making his way to a watering hole to slake his thirst after a long hot day, he promptly lay down on the cool bank and enjoyed the reprieve.

We have had regular sightings of White Dam and her sub adult male cub on kills, and just yesterday he was seen in his father’s (Maxabeni) territory!

Little Bush and her cub have also been seen on a regular basis and were successful with securing regular meals for themselves.

Little Bush’s daughter, the Kigelia female has been seen in her mom’s territory on a couple of kills. She managed to kill an adult impala but due to its size, she was unable to successfully hoist it into a tree. A short while later she made a second kill, this time she managed to stash her duiker kill up a tree!

The Kashane male was seen resting off his recent warthog kill during the heat of the afternoon.
